This artwork by Tong Danian achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Seven-Character Couplet In Seal Script sold for HKD 23,000.00 (€ 2,658.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tong Danian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,507.50).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Tong Danian erzielte im April 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
