Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tong Danian achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Couplet In Seal Script sold for HKD 25,960.00 (€ 2,967.19) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tong Danian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,507.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tong Danian erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script für HKD 25.960,00 (€ 2.967,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tong Danian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen im Oktober 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.507,50).
