Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu by Tong Danian was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,333.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Tong Danian have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2013 the work Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen was auctioned for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,507.50).
