Admittedly, works by Tom Roberts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian shearing Shed, Newstead in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 300,000.00 (€ 175,124.41).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 64.800,00 (€ 36.666,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Roberts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian shearing Shed, Newstead im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 300.000,00 (€ 175.124,41).
