Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Tom McGrath for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,973.02). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tom McGrath - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,148.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tom McGrath für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.973,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tom McGrath mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.148,27) versteigert wurde.
