Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The cloister courtroom, a scene from Marmion by Tobias Edward Rosenthal was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in April 2007. The price achieved of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,568.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tobias Edward Rosenthal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Sailor's Return in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 45,245.46).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.568,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden.
