This artwork by Tjipke Visser achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2015. In the Modern Art auction, the work Jabiroe sold for EUR 9,375.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tjipke Visser; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Marabou sold at auction in November 2004 with the realized price of EUR 11,950.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Tjipke Visser erzielte im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Jabiroe für EUR 9.375,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tjipke Visser; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Marabou im November 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 11.950,00.
