Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Tilsa Tsuchiya was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,687.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tilsa Tsuchiya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tristán e Isolda in May last year with an auction result of USD 882,000.00 (€ 821,917.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tilsa Tsuchiya wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.687,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tilsa Tsuchiya erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tristán e Isolda im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 882.000,00 (€ 821.917,81).
