Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tilsa Tsuchiya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2013. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Mujer volando sold for USD 339,750.00 (€ 261,587.62) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tilsa Tsuchiya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tristán e Isolda, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 882,000.00 (€ 821,917.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tilsa Tsuchiya erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Mujer volando für USD 339.750,00 (€ 261.587,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tilsa Tsuchiya mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tristán e Isolda beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 882.000,00 (€ 821.917,81) versteigert wurde.
