Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Woman With Parrot) by Thota Vaikuntam was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,635.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thota Vaikuntam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Women) in May last year with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 23,998.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Woman With Parrot) von Thota Vaikuntam kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.635,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thota Vaikuntam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Women) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 23.998,66).
