Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Homme A La Pipe, Circa 1995 by Thota Vaikuntam was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2007. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,674.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thota Vaikuntam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Women), which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 20,400.00 (€ 23,998.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Homme A La Pipe, Circa 1995 von Thota Vaikuntam kam im Dezember 2007 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.674,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thota Vaikuntam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Women) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für GBP 20.400,00 (€ 23.998,66) versteigert wurde.
