Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Autumn on the Delaware by Worthington Whittredge. The price achieved of USD 302,500.00 (€ 210,420.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Other works by Worthington Whittredge have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2016 the work The Pine Cone Gatherers was auctioned for USD 360,500.00 (€ 340,801.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn on the Delaware von Worthington Whittredge zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 302.500,00 (€ 210.420,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Worthington Whittredge konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2016 die Arbeit The Pine Cone Gatherers für USD 360.500,00 (€ 340.801,66) versteigert.
