Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of David Garrick (1717-1779) As Tancred, In Tancred And Sigismunda by Thomas Worlidge was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,532.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Thomas Worlidge have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2014 the work A Portrait Of A Gentleman Dressed In Furs was auctioned for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,978.11).
