In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures, which included the work A young lady, in lace-bordered blue dress, white bodice with pink ribbons tied at front, blue shawl, white lace cap in her upswept brown hair, wearing a three-strand pearl choker tied at the back with a black ribbon by Thomas Worlidge. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 1,137.71), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Worlidge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Portrait Of A Gentleman Dressed In Furs in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,978.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young lady, in lace-bordered blue dress, white bodice with pink ribbons tied at front, blue shawl, white lace cap in her upswept brown hair, wearing a three-strand pearl choker tied at the back with a black ribbon von Thomas Worlidge zur Versteigerung kam.
