Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Masters & Makers, Oak Furniture, Works of Art, Arts & Crafts and Old Master Paintings, which included the work Portrait of an old man, half-length, seated in a brown coat, a snuff box in his left hand by Thomas Worlidge. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 707.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Worlidge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Portrait Of A Gentleman Dressed In Furs in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,978.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Masters & Makers, Oak Furniture, Works of Art, Arts & Crafts and Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of an old man, half-length, seated in a brown coat, a snuff box in his left hand von Thomas Worlidge zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 707,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Worlidge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Portrait Of A Gentleman Dressed In Furs im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.978,11).
