Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Wijck could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters auction, the work Elegant figures, including a man in Turkish dress, on the quay of a Mediterranean port changed hands for USD 7,560.00 (€ 7,095.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Wijck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Mediterranean Harbour Scene With Oriental Merchants in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,053.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Wijck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Mediterranean Harbour Scene With Oriental Merchants im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.053,37).
