Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.360,25) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Wijck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Mediterranean Harbour Scene With Oriental Merchants im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.053,37).
