Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Master Drawings from a Distinguished European Collection, which included the work An Italianate Courtyard, With Washing Hung Out To Dry by Thomas Wijck. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,011.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Wijck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Mediterranean Harbour Scene With Oriental Merchants in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,053.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Master Drawings from a Distinguished European Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Italianate Courtyard, With Washing Hung Out To Dry von Thomas Wijck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.011,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Wijck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Mediterranean Harbour Scene With Oriental Merchants im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.053,37).
