In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work An Alchemist In His Study, A Still Life Of Books, Pots And Pans And Books In The Foreground sold for EUR 10,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Wijck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Mediterranean Harbour Scene With Oriental Merchants in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,053.37).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Wijck erzielte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit An Alchemist In His Study, A Still Life Of Books, Pots And Pans And Books In The Foreground für EUR 10.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Wijck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Mediterranean Harbour Scene With Oriental Merchants im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.053,37).
