Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work The Codicil by Thomas Ryan. The price achieved of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,659.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Thomas Ryan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2003 the work Ryan's Garden was auctioned for GBP 7,767.50 (€ 10,822.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Codicil von Thomas Ryan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.659,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Thomas Ryan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2003 die Arbeit Ryan's Garden für GBP 7.767,50 (€ 10.822,08) versteigert.
