Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Irish and 20th Century British Art, which included the work uala Bán by Thomas Ryan. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,227.29). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Ryan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ryan's Garden, which sold at auction in May 2003 for GBP 7,767.50 (€ 10,822.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit uala Bán von Thomas Ryan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.227,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Ryan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ryan's Garden beobachtet, die im Mai 2003 für GBP 7.767,50 (€ 10.822,08) versteigert wurde.
