A top price for Thomas Ryan - as previously expected
In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Ryan's Garden by Thomas Ryan. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 10,822.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ryan's Garden is the most expensive artwork by Thomas Ryan that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ryan's Garden von Thomas Ryan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.767,50 (€ 10.822,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Ryan's Garden das teuerste Kunstwerk von Thomas Ryan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
