This price was achieved in the auction Post War & Contemporary Art Day Auction at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Jpeg pt01 the most expensive artwork by Thomas Ruff that we have observed at auctions so far.
