Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work An Italianate landscape with elegant figures by a waterfall; and An Italianate river landscape with fishermen, a church and a bridge beyond by Thomas Patch was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day auction at Christies in London in July 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 102,503.52). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Patch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A View Of The River Arno With The Ponte Alle Grazie, Florence, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 433,000.00 (€ 291,759.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with elegant figures by a waterfall; and An Italianate river landscape with fishermen, a church and a bridge beyond von Thomas Patch wurde im Juli 2010 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 85.250,00 (€ 102.503,52) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Patch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A View Of The River Arno With The Ponte Alle Grazie, Florence beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für USD 433.000,00 (€ 291.759,32) versteigert wurde.
