Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Naples, from Mergellina, with Vesuvius in the distance by Thomas Patch. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 161,000.00 (€ 188,235.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Thomas Patch have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2008 the work A View Of The River Arno With The Ponte Alle Grazie, Florence was auctioned for USD 433,000.00 (€ 291,759.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Naples, from Mergellina, with Vesuvius in the distance von Thomas Patch zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 161.000,00 (€ 188.235,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Thomas Patch konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2008 die Arbeit A View Of The River Arno With The Ponte Alle Grazie, Florence für USD 433.000,00 (€ 291.759,32) versteigert.
