This artwork by Thomas Grünfeld achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2001. In the CONTEMPORARY ART auction, the work Misfit (Cow) sold for GBP 28,200.00 (€ 44,182.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thomas Grünfeld; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Misfit (Cow) sold at auction in June 2003 with the realized price of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,649.28).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Grünfeld erzielte im Februar 2001 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART wurde die Arbeit Misfit (Cow) für GBP 28.200,00 (€ 44.182,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Thomas Grünfeld; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Misfit (Cow) im Juni 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 31.070,00 (€ 44.649,28).
