The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,711.33) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Francis Dicksee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christ of the Cornfield "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, And not man for the Sabbath." Mark, II, 27. in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 82,937.93).
