In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, British and Impressionist Art, which included the work Beatrice -"I Wonder That You Will Still Be Talking Signior Benedick, Nobody Marks You." Much Ado About Nothing Act I Scene I by Thomas Francis Dicksee. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,529.45), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Thomas Francis Dicksee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christ of the Cornfield "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, And not man for the Sabbath." Mark, II, 27. in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 82,937.93).

Much Ado About Nothing Act I Scene I von Thomas Francis Dicksee zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.529,45) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Francis Dicksee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Christ of the Cornfield "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, And not man for the Sabbath."
