In September 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Travel & Exploration, which included the work 'The Rope Bridge At Sirinagur' Plate 47.4 X 64.5Cm (18 11/16 X 25 3/8In). Unframed by Thomas Daniell. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,483.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Daniell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The entrance of an excavated Hindu cave temple at Mahabalipuram on the Coromandel Coast in January this year with an auction result of USD 1,071,000.00 (€ 986,369.50).

Unframed von Thomas Daniell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.483,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Daniell erzielen.
