Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Green And White Head by Theodore Major was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in August 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,318.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Theodore Major achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Industrial Landscape in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 42,838.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Green And White Head von Theodore Major wurde im August 2013 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.318,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Theodore Major erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Industrial Landscape im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 42.838,06).
