In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Cattle Watering Under An Oak Tree by Thaddeus Welch. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,906.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Thaddeus Welch have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2018 the work Cattle Watering Under An Oak Tree was auctioned for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,160.71).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.906,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Thaddeus Welch konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2018 die Arbeit Cattle Watering Under An Oak Tree für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.160,71) versteigert.
