In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Summer Day in the Country changed hands for USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,256.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thaddeus Welch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cattle Watering Under An Oak Tree, which sold at auction in March 2018 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,160.71).
