This artwork by Thaddeus Strode achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in October 2007. In the The Marino Golinelli Collection auction, the work And the Band Played On…(I don't know mind) #1 sold for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,232.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Thaddeus Strode; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Let Sleeping Gods Lie (The Eggs Cracked) sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 18,956.07).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Thaddeus Strode erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Marino Golinelli Collection wurde die Arbeit And the Band Played On…(I don't know mind) #1 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.232,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Thaddeus Strode; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Let Sleeping Gods Lie (The Eggs Cracked) im Oktober 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 18.956,07).
