Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tetsumi Kudo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2015. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for USD 197,000.00 (€ 186,517.70) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tetsumi Kudo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sans Titre sold at auction in December 2016 with the realized price of EUR 211,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tetsumi Kudo erzielte im November 2015 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 197.000,00 (€ 186.517,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tetsumi Kudo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sans Titre im Dezember 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 211.500,00.
