TERRY WINTERS (B. 1949) Ova lithograph in two colors, on mould made paper, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 6/7 (there were also two artist's proofs), published by Universal Limited Art Editions, West Islip, New York, with their blindstamp, the full sheet, in generally good condition Sheet: 29 3 ⁄ 8 x 21 5 ⁄ 8 in. (745 x 550 mm.)

The work Ova by Terry Winters was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,423.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Terry Winters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Graphic Primitives 1 in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 240,000.00 (€ 178,398.87).

Die Arbeit Ova von Terry Winters kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.423,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Terry Winters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Graphic Primitives 1 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 240.000,00 (€ 178.398,87).
