Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sean Connery, 1962 by Terence Donovan was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in March 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,472.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Terence Donovan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jimi Hendrix, London, 1967, which sold at auction in March 2020 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,292.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sean Connery, 1962 von Terence Donovan wurde im März 2016 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.472,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Terence Donovan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, London, 1967 beobachtet, die im März 2020 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.292,05) versteigert wurde.
