Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Peter Blake, 1989 by Terence Donovan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 701.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Terence Donovan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jimi Hendrix, London, 1967 in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,292.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peter Blake, 1989 von Terence Donovan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 701,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Terence Donovan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, London, 1967 im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.292,05).
