Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Red Mist Rising by Terence David La Noue was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 500.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 318.75 (€ 270.13). Admittedly, works by Terence David La Noue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Dreams of Gods, from The Ritual Series; and Fingal's Cave in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 1,975.37).
