Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work (i) Sample for One Thing Existing #6(ii) Sample for One Thing Existing #7 by Tavares Strachan. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,339.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tavares Strachan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work You Belong Here (blue) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 35,504.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit (i) Sample for One Thing Existing #6(ii) Sample for One Thing Existing #7 von Tavares Strachan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.339,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tavares Strachan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit You Belong Here (blue) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 35.504,64).
