Auction result well in line with expectations
The work We Belong Here (White) by Tavares Strachan was sold in the Unbound: Online Only auction at Phillips in Bidding Closes in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,546.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tavares Strachan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work You Belong Here (blue), which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 35,504.64).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.546,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
