Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Plate Distortion II by Tauba Auerbach for USD 1,905.00 (€ 1,744.51). This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tauba Auerbach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Fold) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,995,317.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Plate Distortion II von Tauba Auerbach für USD 1.905,00 (€ 1.744,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tauba Auerbach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Fold) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.995.317,20).
