A top price for Tauba Auerbach - as previously expected
The work Untitled (Fold) by Tauba Auerbach was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,995,317.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Fold) is the most expensive artwork by Tauba Auerbach that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Untitled (Fold) von Tauba Auerbach wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.426.500,00 (€ 1.995.317,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Fold) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tauba Auerbach, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
