Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of the Futurist Poet Fanelli by Guglielmo Sansoni was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,905.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guglielmo Sansoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Avvitamento, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 43,812.00 (€ 50,818.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of the Futurist Poet Fanelli von Guglielmo Sansoni wurde im Oktober 2001 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.905,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Guglielmo Sansoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Avvitamento beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 43.812,00 (€ 50.818,78) versteigert wurde.
