Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Verdant Mountains by Tao Lengyue. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,213.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tao Lengyue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peonies Of Prosperity in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Verdant Mountains von Tao Lengyue zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.213,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tao Lengyue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peonies Of Prosperity im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62).
