The work Pine, Plum Blossoms and Rock by Tao Lengyue was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 1,033,200.00 (€ 114,929.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 29%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tao Lengyue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peonies Of Prosperity, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 29 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pine, Plum Blossoms and Rock von Tao Lengyue kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.033.200,00 (€ 114.929,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 29%. Für andere Arbeiten von Tao Lengyue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peonies Of Prosperity beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62) versteigert wurde.
