Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Goldfish by Tao Lengyue. It changed hands for a price of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 25,051.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tao Lengyue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peonies Of Prosperity in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 338,543.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goldfish von Tao Lengyue zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 25.051,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tao Lengyue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peonies Of Prosperity im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 338.543,62).
