Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Sunflowers 5) by Tania Bruguera was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,247.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Tania Bruguera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Destierro (Displacement) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,903.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Sunflowers 5) von Tania Bruguera kam im Mai 2014 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.247,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tania Bruguera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Destierro (Displacement) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.903,95).
