In May 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Sunflower #2 by Tania Bruguera. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,095.87) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tania Bruguera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Destierro (Displacement) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,903.95).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunflower #2 von Tania Bruguera zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.095,87) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tania Bruguera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Destierro (Displacement) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.903,95).
