In October this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art Online, which included the work El cuerpo del silencio by Tania Bruguera. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,076.46), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tania Bruguera - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Destierro (Displacement), which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,903.95).

Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit El cuerpo del silencio von Tania Bruguera zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 19.076,46) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tania Bruguera mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Destierro (Displacement) beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.903,95) versteigert wurde.
