The work Estadística by Tania Bruguera was worth USD 47,880.00 (€ 48,942.04) to a buyer in September last year. This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tania Bruguera; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Destierro (Displacement) sold at auction in May 2015 with the realized price of USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,903.95).
